"Wow!" I hear you say. "You've put pictures up of Candlelight, and said things about it! But what things have other people
said about it?"
I'm glad you asked.
BostonFIG was excellent. The people were excellent, the games was excellent, the BLT I ate in a super-rushed five minutes between showing off Candlelight were excellent, the volunteers were double-excellent. In general, I was astonished by what a wonderful independent game community exists in and around Boston - in terms of both gamers and game makers - and was proud to get to be a part of that space. I'm also incredibly proud of and beholden to the team
, without whom we wouldn't have gone at all.
Now, that said, I want to give a super-huge thank you to members of the press, many of whom took a lot of time out of their day to sit down with Candlelight, or to talk with me and Andrew, and then took even MORE time to say incredibly flattering things about us. I submit those incredibly flattering things now, for your consideration:
oh and we got complimented by a lady dressed as Ness which is excellent!
Missing things is a hobby of mine, so if you know of other pieces, or wrote one, or want to write one, let me know! I'd love to add your link to the ones above.
In addition, I wanted to extend a personal appreciative fist bump to all the excellent people who gave us great compliments and feedback. We went to BostonFIG last year to see if you existed; we came back this year because you do, and when we finish this game it'll be because of your support.
WE ARE EXCITED.
edit here is a video in which elizabeth of bioshock infinite also sounds off on Candlelight! THIS IS WHY WE DO THIS JOB

We just wanted to take a moment to thank you all so much for coming out to the Boston Festival of Indie Games last weekend! To those who didn't attend, you missed a good time but we understand. Sometimes these things happen! We love you for your support, wherever you happen to be.
We'll have more details - press, announcements, photos, etc. - coming down the pipe in the next week. For now, I wanted to just say thanks and let you know that if you signed up for our email list at BFIG, you haven't missed an email yet! We're still in the process of putting all the emails into a computing machine, and there were a lot of them, so this is taking some time. We'll get that demo to all of you, we promise. If you absolutely can't wait, though, drop us an email and we'll send you the credentials now.
Again, thank you all for your support! If not for the love we got last year we probably wouldn't have had all the success we have had with Candlelight. So, in a way, by attending this year, you're all directly responsible for any subsequent success we experience. Our appreciation is boundless.

Pre-Boston Fig Post
This Saturday, September 13th, is the much-anticipated Boston Festival of Indie Games
, and once again Candlelight
will be on display!
There's been a lot of really serious hard work going into this!
From the background art...
...to the promotional art...
...to the sound and mechanics...
Uh, you can't tell but the sound and mechanics were both real good in this picture, when the screenshot was taken.
If you're in the greater Boston area, we would absolutely love to see you at our booth! We'll have the game available for demo, we'll be answering questions, it'll be great.
Going to BostonFIG last year convinced us that Candlelight had potential, and convinced us to do all the awesome things we did over the last year on the project. I'm excited to show off the progress we've made this year, and I can't wait to get to meet more gamers, put Candlelight in front of more people, and see where the response leads us next.
Hope to see you all Saturday!
